Since 1962 REACT Teams has been serving their community. By providing Safety Radio and Traffic assistance for community events, we strive to keep both the community and its citizens safe.

We will be available to provide assistance to a vareity of public events and disaster related situations including:

Mission Statement

To act in a professional capacity, to provide a successful course of action to other organizations, private, governmental or volunteer, primarily in Johnston County in the State of North Carolina in those matters regarding Emergency Services.
Assist in the protection of life, property and the environment through a partnership effort between local, state and volunteer agencies. To provide a successful course of action for the citizens of Johnston County and traveling motorist to minimize risk in emergency situations.

Who We Are

Johnston County NC REACT Team #6257 is a surboranate 501(C)(3) organization of REACT International, Inc. Our non-profit volunteer organization has a volunteer Board of Directors governed by Constitution and By-Laws which are reviewed annually and ratified or revised as needed. Our Board meets regularly, operates with a quorum, records minutes of all meetings, controls the fiscal affairs of the organization, including the development and adoption of an annual budget, written financial policies and procedures. The organization has a annual audit conducted by a certified public accountant and files a 990 with the IRS.

We have a highly dedicated and professional group of individuals that are sufficiently qualified by training, experience and job descriptions with minimum qualification exist for all members.

ALL REACT Members have EXTENSIVE TRAINING - Members of Johnston County NC REACT 6257 are required to undergo extensive training in various areas.

 A Brief History of REACT – An International Organization
In 1962, REACT was founded by Henry B. Kreer. By 1964 the REACT organization set out to create a National CB Emergency Channel.
In 1972, Channel 9 became the official National CB Emergency Channel under the Federal Communication Commission rules.
Since then, REACT chapters have watched over their communities, providing assistance in emergencies.
They have also assisted in times of national tragedy, supporting agencies at work at “Ground Zero” after September 11, 2001.
